Intelligent Failure Classification

SupaGuard doesn't just tell you "it's broken." It tells you how it's broken, so you can decide whether to wake up or hit snooze.

Beyond Pass/Fail

Traditional checking is binary. But in the real world, "slow" is different from "down". SupaGuard categorizes every check result into one of three states:

1. Healthy (Green)

  • What it means: The website loaded, all interactions succeeded, and performance was within acceptable limits.
  • Action: Nothing. Sleep well.

2. Degraded (Yellow)

  • What it means: The site is working, but something is off.
    • Performance: Load time increased significantly (e.g., from 1s to 5s).
    • Soft Failures: Optional elements didn't load, but the core flow completed.
  • Action: We send a Warning Alert. You should investigate when you have time, but no need for a 3 AM panic.

3. Critical (Red)

  • What it means: A core user flow is blocked.
    • Login failed.
    • Checkout button wasn't clickable.
    • The site returned a 500 error.
  • Action: We send a Critical Alert. Immediate attention is required.

Configuring Sensitivity

You can customize how strict SupaGuard should be:

  • Strict Mode: Any slight performance regression triggers a localized warning.
  • Relaxed Mode: Only alert on hard functional failures.

This tiered approach ensures that your noise-to-signal ratio stays low, keeping your team focused on what actually matters.
